Tutoring Center

Tutoring Center

We provide academic assistance to children living in state-run orphanages in Ukraine via free private tutoring. The need for private tutoring arises because the quality of education received in state-run orphanages (known as “boarding schools”) is usually very low. As a result, the teens graduating from state-run orphanages cannot be admitted to a desired college due to a lack of preparation.

Our tutoring center is established to help students to discover their God-given talents and to aid them in their learning process, so they learn how to think critically and become lifelong learners. We are not a school. We only offer tutoring and after-school classes to supplement the state-run program.

We work in small groups and one-to-one to help the children with their homework and beyond to improve their understanding of the core academic subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Arts, Languages, computer, and other subjects according to the school curriculum determined by the state.

Our tutoring center operates in the Catholic tradition. We also offer Catechism as a separate subject based on the Baltimore Catechism and the Catechism of Saint Pius X.

The tutoring project began in 2011, before our existence as a registered Charity, when one of our volunteers visited Central Ukraine and offered free classes in the state-run orphanages.

We aim to aid the students in knowing, loving, and serving God and, using the words of Saint John Bosco, to make good Christians and honorable citizens.

Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, Pray for us!
